PROFESSIONAL CAREER

She is currently the Chief People Officer Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. Before then she was the Director of Inclusion at one of the largest NHS Trusts in the country where she was responsible for the Inclusion and Culture agenda for over 14,000 staff and 1million patients. Prior to joining the NHS, Funmi worked for the global management consultancy EY (formerly Ernst & Young) , KPMG and in the Charity sector. Funmi has an MBA in Strategy & Human Resource Management and is a Chartered Fellow in CIPD.

Alongside a rich and diverse career, Funmi is not shy in the world of business. Having I have run many kinds of businesses, from selling products, to setting up social enterprises, before successfully running an award winning car rental company.

A LIFE OF SERVICE

Funmi is a Board Trustee for Relate Surrey - They are the UK’s largest provider of relationship support, and every year they help over a million people of all ages and backgrounds to strengthen their relationships. She is also a mentor at SuperWorking mum - a productivity organisation for mums. She also mentors women from ethnic minory background on breaking the ceiling into executive and senior leadership positions She has authored 5 books of which four are 4 faith-based books. She is well known for her passion in supporting people and organisations to become more effective and productive, so she does a lot of work on personal productivity, business strategy and finance and operational processes. Funmi overall vision is to ‘see people freed from lack, living transformed lives, and fulfilling their potential’. It is her personal ‘why’ to everything she does in her professional and personal life. She has been described as an ‘activator’ by family, friends, and colleagues. She also coaches and mentors women on career, business and finance. In 2022 she was nominated for a national NHS award as Compassionate and inclusive leader of the year.
